Qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor
Welcome, I am Crystal Yuhua Lei (she/her). I am a fully qualified and BACP-registered psychodynamic counsellor based in Edinburgh. I specialise in sexual trauma and I offer one-to-one sessions with adults online and in-person in a cosy and private therapeutic space in the city centre of Edinburgh.
Maybe you struggle to love or feel loved in relationships. Maybe you don’t feel at home in your own body. Or perhaps you feel broken by trauma. Whatever you're going through right now, you are welcome here, just as you are.
My practice is safe, compassionate, and most importantly, deeply human. I help you navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and the lasting effects of trauma.
I believe in compassion, in genuine human connections, and in talking and being listened to, especially when being heard is not something we can take for granted. I have named my practice The Quiet Tree Counselling because life can be chaotic, difficult and overwhelming, and I would like to offer you a safe space for thinking and healing, a supportive space where you will feel seen and heard. My hope is that our work together will empower you to be who you want to be and take you where you want to go.
I am originally from China and have lived in Edinburgh for 18 years. In addition to English, I also offer counselling and psychotherapy in Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese.
